For takeaways

Your regulars order from you, not from Just Eat.

Keep the delivery apps for new customers if you like. Your own app is for the people who already order from you every week, so their orders come straight to you.

What your app does for a takeaway

  • Regulars order straight from you, not through a delivery app.
  • Their favourites are saved, so the Friday order takes seconds.
  • A reward every tenth order keeps them coming back to you.
  • Tell every customer about tonight's special in one tap.
  • Orders through your own app don't go through Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats, so there's no platform commission on them.

Drawn for this page with an invented business and invented customers. Your app is designed around your business, with your name, logo and colours.

Why your own app

Orders straight to you

No delivery platform in the middle, so there's no platform commission on those orders. You pay your monthly plan instead.

Their usual, in two taps

Favourites and addresses are saved, and a reward every tenth order keeps them ordering from you.

Quiet nights, filled

A quiet night? Send tonight's special to every customer's lock screen from your phone.

What do your regulars cost you in commission?

Put in your own numbers. They stay on your phone: nothing is sent anywhere.

In pounds, before their commission comes off.

As a percentage. It's on your statement.

A rough percentage: people who'd order from you anyway.

Fill in the three boxes to see it.

Orders through your own app don't pay a delivery platform's commission. You pay your monthly plan instead, and card payments carry Stripe's own small fee. I'll show you how the two compare for your numbers on the call.

How it works

  1. A free call

You tell me how customers order or book with you now. I tell you honestly whether an app would help, and which plan would suit you.

  2. I design and build it

Your name, your logo, your colours, built around how your business runs. You try it on your own phone before any customer sees it.

  3. It goes live

As a web app at your own address, ready to share as a link or a QR code, or on the App Store and Google Play from your business's own accounts, so it's listed in your name. I do the forms, the screenshots and the reviews.

  4. I look after it

Updates, fixes and changes are part of the plan, for as long as you have it. You get on with running the business.

What's included, and the terms in plain words

Questions takeaway owners ask

Should I come off Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats?

Not necessarily. They're good at finding new customers. The app is for moving your regulars over, so you stop paying commission on people who'd have ordered from you anyway.

Can it do delivery as well as collection?

Yes, if you deliver yourself. You set the area, the minimum order and the fee.

How much does it cost?

Nothing upfront, then one monthly plan with a 12-month minimum. Which of the two plans costs you less depends on how you take payments, so I work it out with you on the call and put it in writing first.

Is it really my app?

Yes. A web app sits at your own address, and on the App Store and Google Play it's listed under your business's name, from accounts in your name.

More questions, answered

Let's see what your app would do.

Tell me about your business and we'll book a free call. No cost, no obligation, and you'll hear back from me within a few days. If an app isn't right for your business, I'll tell you straight.
